Make Your Own Embossing Powder

Very easy and fun to make - kinda like cooking! =) I store my big ultra thick embossing powder in a plastic container with spoon (makes it less messy). The powders that I have made are in little plastic baggies (bought at craft store). I mix 2 spoon fulls of utee, a scoop of glitter, and a scoop of powder pigment and mix. I use a Versamark to adhere the powder and heat up with my heat gun. To make the flowers I inked a scrap piece of paper with the Versamark ink pad then poured the powder on; while it's still hot I added more powder for a thicker and shinier look.

  1. very neat idea! thanks for sharing!

  2. One of my goals this year is to play by experimenting with powders of all kinds - and UTEE looks awesome . Its one product that was kinda been nagging me to buy - not like ' if ' but rather 'when' thanks for sharing your method, cuz now I must to go get some! LOL

  3. I would like to know how much is a "scoop of glitter" and a "scoop of Pearl Ex/pigment powder" is. Are you thinking a teaspoon? Or a tablespoon?
I would appreciate any information! kren dot kurts at gmail dot com
